West Virginia Four-Ball: Woodward’s win
DANIELS, WV (June 3, 2012) -- Bridgeport’s Jay and Woody Woodward have won the West Virginia Four-Ball Championship, conducted this weekend at The Resort at Glade Springs. The brothers finished the tournament at 10-under-par for their two-day total.
During yesterday’s round on the resort’s Cobb Course, the duo shot 4-under-par 68, then went on to post the second low round of the day on the Stonehaven Course.
Two teams will share this year’s Runner-up title; Fairmont’s Jess Ferrell and Clarksburg’s Ian Hogue; and Madison’s Aaron Boggs and Huntington’s Ian Patrick both shot 68-67—135 for the tournament.
Leading after the first round were Green Bank’s Chad Baldwin and Hurricane’s Brandon Tinney, who finished the round at 6-under-par. The team fell back slightly in the rankings today, to finish the Championship tied for fourth place.
