Defending champion Kary Hollenbaugh takes commanding lead at The SALLY

Kary Hollenbaugh has taken the lead at the 2025 Women's South Atlantic Amateur Golf Championship at Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach, Fla.
Hollenbaugh is the lone golfer under par overall and the lone golfer to shoot both rounds under par. She holds a five-shot lead at 3-under after rounds of 71-70.
Hollenbaugh bogeyed her first two holes to sit over par overall, but made four birdies throughout the next 16 holes to get to 3-under.
She is currently ranked No. 30 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.
Hollenbaugh was named to the All-Big Ten First Team in 2024 and All-Big Ten Second Team in 2023. She recently placed solo third at the Patriot All-America Women's Invitational.
She also made the final 16 at the 2024 Women's Western Amateur, and in addition to winning The SALLY, she also won the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational, which was her next tournament.
First-round leader Kaitlyn Schroeder of North Florida is in solo second place at 2-over after a second-round 4-over 76. Thanana Kotchasanmanee, Avery McCrery, Grace Lu of Rutgers, and Chloe Schiavone of Virginia are all T3 at 4-over.
Lyla Louderbaugh of Kansas, Isabel Brozena, and Angela Zhang are T7 at 6-over to round out the top ten.
The Women’s South Atlantic Amateur Golf Championship (The SALLY) has been hosted by Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach, Florida, since its beginnings in 1926.
The tournament field consists of the top amateurs in the US, and the top finishers frequently represent the US for the biennial Curtis Cup team. Many former SALLY players are among the LPGA elite.

FORMAT
72-hole stroke play championship with a
Championship Division (max handicap 6.0) and a simultaneously-held Mid-Am division for players 22 and over (first day of the tournament) and not on the roster of any college or university golf team. 54-hole Rockefeller Division of 12 players (max handicap 10.0) plays from a shorter set of tees.
