Jun takes Oceanside City Men's Championship
OCEANSIDE, CALIF. (Aug. 14, 2011) -- Allan Jun, Oceanside, shot a 1-over-par 73 Sunday to capture the 2011 Oceanside Men's City Championship by a single stroke over Fallbrook resident Colin Featherstone.
Jun carded rounds of 66-73--139 to squeek by Featherstone who fired an impressive second round 64 to go with his first round stumble at 74, finishing second at 140.
This is Featherstone's second week in a row to finish in second place. He lost in a playoff last week at the amateur.com San Diego County Open at his home course of Golf Club of California to Trevor Simsby.
Alex Marry of San Clemente finished solo third with rounds of 67-74--141.
