With Q-School Prequalifying now in the rearview mirror, dozens of amateurs will see the competition tighten as they join exempt professionals and amateurs in the First Stage of Q-School.
The next five of 13 First Stage qualifiers teed off on Tuesday, October 15, in Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Mexico, and Texas. Of the five sites and 19 amateurs that teed it up, five were able to make it through to the next round.
Here is how all the amateurs fared this week, including the scoreboards to each site.

Blades Brown (a) - Nashville, Tenn. -- view profile
Brown is one of the top junior golfers in the country. This year, he made the cut at a PGA Tour event, the round of 16 at the Western Amateur, and the final 32 of the U.S. Junior Amateur. He shot a 5-under 67 in the first round to find himself inside the cutline and then followed it up with a 3-under 69 in the second round. However, a third-round 4-over 76 saw him fall off the pace. Brown shot rounds of 67-69-76-71 to finish 5-under and two shots off the cutline.

Gavin Clements (a) - Franklin, Tenn. -- view profile

Amat was one of two amateurs to advance to second stage through the New Mexico site, as the golfers dealt with high winds and tough playing conditions. Amat finished T3 at 5-under with rounds of 67-71-73-68.

Chomyn did not qualify, finishing 18-over and in solo 62nd place after rounds of 75-75-78-74.
Sam Lape (a) - Atlanta, Ga. -- view profile
Lape, one of the top golfers in Furman University history, finished T35 at 5-over and missing the cutline by three shots. He carded rounds of 72-74-69-74.
Clay Seeber (a) - Newport Beach, Calif. -- view profile
Seeber got close to advancing, finishing 3-over and just one shot off the 2-over cutline. He birdied No. 16 to get to 2-over and inside the cutline, but a bogey on No. 17 saw him fall back to 3-over.
Winston Wang (a) - Coto De Caza, Calif. -- view profile
Wang did not qualify, shooting rounds of 78-74-78-78 and finishing in solo 66th place at 24-over.
Benton Weinberg (a) - Bethesda, MD. -- view profile
Weinberg was consistent, shooting rounds of 70-72-70-72 to finish even par and T13, joining Amat and advancing to the second stage of Q-School.

Petronzio joined Luduena at 3-under and T17, also advancing to the second stage. He carded rounds of 66-73-75-71 to stay inside the cutline the whole tournament.

Bebich has also competed in notable events like the U.S. Amateur, qualifying in 2022.

Fuenmayor, who played for Oregon State, grew as a player by lowering his scoring average substantially during his collegiate career. In 2023/2024 for the Beavers, he fnished with two rounds under par five times: the Husky Invitational, Cal Poly Invitational, Amer Ari Invitational, The Prestige, and the Redhawk Invitational and shot a low round of 66 at The Oregon State Invitational.

Manganello played for Fresno State, where in 2022/2023 he became the first Bulldog to earn two medalist honors in the same season since Nick Watney in 2002 with wins at the Saint Mary's Invitational and the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.

Warian excelled as a member of the University of Minnesota Gophers golf team, and upon graduation in May of 2024 he won a big event on the amateur golf summer circuit in June at the Sunnehanna Amateur. He came out firing on all cylinders in round one at Southern Dunes, posting a 66 to stand in second position.
Warian shot rounds of 66-73-69-70 to finish 10-under and qualify for the second stage.
