Markus Nanpei wins the Antioch City Championship
Markus Nanpei of Castro Valley, Calif, won the 2023 Antioch City Championship after shooting 10-under through the two rounds of stroke play.
Nanpei shot a first-round 6-under 64 and a second-round 4-under 66.
Easton Doyle finished in solo second place at 8-under, and Michael Vera finished in solo third place at 6-under. Brett Viboch finished in solo fourth place at 5-under.
In the Senior Division, Chris Miller won by three shots at 3-over. He shot a 2-under 70 in the second round to propel him to the win, which was the best round in the field by five shots.
Terry Foreman shot a two-round score of 2-under to win the Super Senior Division.
Foreman opened up his tournament with a 2-under 70, and then in the second round, as the course played tougher, he shot an even par round of 72 to win by three shots.
Foreman was the lone super senior to finish the championship under par.
