amateurgolf.com Kiawah Island 2-man: Rd.1 results
KIAWAH ISLAND, Calif. (March 9, 2008)-- The third annual amateurgolf.com Kiawah Island Two-Man has traditionally been an opportunity for golfers from all over to gather at one of the nation's top courses and knock off a bit of the rust after what always seems like a long winter. This year's field, which hails from 19 states and as far away as England played as if there was no rust at all, as a pair of 64's led the championship flight after the first day of play Osprey Point Golf Club.

The Mississippi tandem of Stan Hall and Jud Grace sit atop the leaderboard, joined by Keith Holmes and Rocky Costa of Georgia, both carding 64 in brisk conditions that lent the scores extra credibility.

Gary Meadors and Roy Paxon of Jacksonville Beach, Florida were equally impressive in the net flight, leading the large field by four strokes after carding 59.

Sherman Haggerty and Ben Whipple, both of El Dorado Hills, California lead the senior flight by four strokes after shooting 69's.

Full results follow from the par-72, 6,502-yard Osprey Point Golf Club follow, with the net and senior flights playing from 6,202.
