Holloway bags another KGA title at Kansas Senior

Wichita's Mike Holloway claimed another Kansas Golf Association title on Tuesday at the 39th Kansas Senior Amateur Championship. Holloway, who turned 50 last October, started the day at Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta, Kan., two shots off the lead. He rallied for the victory with a second-round 4-under 68 to finish at 5-under 139 total.
First-round leader Mark Elliott of Topeka finished in second with a 3-under 141 total.
Garden City's Sean Thayer finished in third at 2 under, which included a final-round, 4-under 68.
In the super senior sivision, Olathe's Peter Robbins was victorious after an impressive 36-hole performance that saw him finish at 2 under. He was the only player under par.
Prairie Village's Frank Roth took runner-up honors at 3-over 147. Salina's Doug Durr and Overland Park's Dave Harris tied for third at 6-over 150 total.

Association. 36 holes of individual stroke play with
two
divisions: Championship (any age 50+) and Super
Senior (60+). Players that wish to compete for the
overall championship must enter the Championship
Division. Gross and net champions to be determined
in
