(May 16, 2016) - It's hard to believe that we are already halfway through May but before we look ahead lets take a quick look back at the weekend that was around the country.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Wins NCAA Division III Title

It wasn't easy an easy final day but CMS went wire-to-wire and captured their first national title in program history. They were led by freshman Alex Wrenn who finished tied for second.

Mid-Amateur Champions

Around the nation state mid-amateur championship play got underway in force. In New Jersey Trevor Randolph won for the third time in four years while Jon Brown won in a three-way playoff in Iowa. The final mid-amateur of the weekend saw Scott Rhodes come from behind to win the Mississippi championship with a final hole eagle.

Texas Four-Ball

In the weather shortened Texas Four-Ball Terrence Miskell and Trey Hallmark emerged from the field to win the title.

Repeat Champions

The weekend also saw some repeat champions. George Zahringer repeated as the MET Senior Champion while in South Carolina Todd Hendley went back-to-back.

Kansas Match Play

The 20-seed Craig Broswick had to win five matches including a 22 hole match in the semifinals but when Sunday came to a close he was the one holding the trophy.
