AGC Monterey Bay Championship: Weather wins the Day
SEASIDE, Calif. (May 30, 2015) -- On a cold and windy day on an already difficult Bayonet layout, the golf course definitely won.
Four players pace the Championship division at 3-over, 75. (But a full 15 players are within 4 shots of the lead heading into Sunday's final round at Black Horse.)
Michael Decker, Austin Murphy, John Greco and Tanner Choate all posted 75, a very respectable score anytime at Bayonet.
In the Senior division, it's Mitch Harrison (75) out in front with David Ujihara (76) and Jeff Britton (77) nipping at the lead. Harrison is nursing a tooth injury that requires surgery on Monday, but you know what they say about the injured golfer. We play that kind of game where an injury could strangely focus the player.
NET DIVISION
Turlock's favorite dentist -- who could step in should Harrison's tooth take a turn for the worse -- Charles Balisha has the biggest lead of the tournament at three strokes with his net 70. Chasing him are AmateurGolf.com standouts Kevin Logan and Scott Carelli, who both shot 73.
