Jim Romano wins American Seniors Stroke Play by five
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (Dec. 10, 2014) — Jim Romano of Ft. Meyers, Fla. cruised to a five-shot victory on Wednesday at the American Seniors Stroke Play Championship.
Romano, playing Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs, Fla., which played at approximately 6,400 yards each day, opened the event with rounds of 76-74. This gave him a nine-shot lead over the rest of the field heading into Wednesday's round, where he shot 81 and still won by five.
Brad Peete, a Bonita Springs resident, took solo second place, shooting 80-81-75.
