CARLSBAD, Calif. (Sept 24, 2014) -- Callaway Golf has brought back the Big Bertha name in a big way over the last year or so, garnering success on Tour and in the bags of amateur players with the Big Bertha and Big Bertha Alpha drivers. Today, the Carlsbad-based company took it to the next level, putting the Big Bertha name on their most technologically-advanced irons, maybe ever.

The new irons will be accompanied by a line of hybrids carrying the same name. Both will be available at retail in mid-October.

Following is information provided by Callaway:

The Big Bertha Irons can make golfers up to two clubs longer with a new 360 Face Cup technology, a technology previously used for big distance gains in the company’s Fariway Woods and Hybrids. Yes, that’s right: a face cup in an iron — it’s real, and so are the benefits! The Big Bertha Hybrid, a long, easy-to-launch club available in 3H-7H, is Callaway’s first adjustable hybrid.

Both products will be available for purchase on www.callawaygolf.com and at retailers nationwide on October 17. The Big Bertha Irons’ new product introduction price is $999.99 (steel) and the Big Bertha Hybrids’ new product introduction price is $249.99.
