GOFFSTOWN, N.H. — Ryan Kohler won the 2015 New Hampshire Mid-Amateur Championship on Thursday at Stonebridge Country Club, firing a final-round 71 — his third consecutive — to capture the title by three over David Sherborne.
Kohler led the tournament by a stroke after Tuesday's first round, then shared the 36-hole lead with Sherborne, who blitzed the course on Wednesday for 65. But he fell back to earth on day three, posting 74 and finishing in second place.
Sherborne was 1-under on his round through 14 holes, but bogeyed three of his last four while Kohler birdied two of his last eight and made just one bogey all day.
Michael Mahan shot back-to-back 71s to end the tournament and finish in third place.
