The top 20 and ties will earn their DP World Tour cards for the 2024-25 season. Skov Olesen is currently ranked No. 17 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings.

The other two amateurs in the field made the cut, but they will need to score low in the final round to earn their cards.

Max Kennedy is currently T42 at 10-under, and Tiger Christensen is currently T67 at 7-under.

CUTLINE UPDATE

All three of the amateurs at the DP World Tour Qualifying School Final Stage at Infinitum Golf Resort in Tarragona, Spain, made the cut to advance to the final two rounds, with the top 20 finishers and ties earning DP World Tour cards for the 2025 season.

The final two rounds of golf will be contested on the Lakes course. The cut was made from the top 65 and ties of the original 156-man field. 

Jacob Skov Olesen is currently T10 and 14-under, leading the three amateurs. He has carded impressive rounds of 65-71-70-66 to show off his consistency, a key to advancing through the final stage.

The cutline fell at 7-under, with Max Kennedy finishing the first 72 holes at 8-under and one shot clear of the cutline and Tiger Christensen finishing 7-under and right on the cutline. 

Christensen needed all 72 holes, as he made a birdie on the par-5 No. 18 to make the cut on the number.

Skov Olesen has an interesting perspective this week, telling the DP World Tour Q-School's Instagram page, "This is the least stressed this week because if I don't get through this week, I get to play the Masters next year. So my Plan B is pretty damn good. I might be the one who has the least amount of stress this week."

He earned that Masters invite by winning the 2024 British Amateur, becoming the first Danish Golfer to do so.

SECOND ROUND UPDATE

In an impressive start to his campaign, 25-year-old Danish sensation Jacob Skov Olesen, the reigning British Amateur champion, opened with a brilliant 6-under 65. Despite a more tempered 1-under 71 in his second round, Olesen stands T23 at 7-under par, holding the distinction of the leading amateur among the three who qualified for the Final Stage.

Joining Olesen in the amateur ranks, 21-year-old German Tiger Christensen, currently in his senior year at Arizona, finds himself tied for 60th at 4-under after rounds of 73 and a comeback round of 66. Meanwhile, Max Kennedy of Ireland, the final amateur in the field and a student at the University of Louisville, sits at 3-under following two steady rounds of 70, putting him tied for 79th.

The DP World Tour Qualifying School Final Stage is underway at Infinitum Golf Resort in Tarragona, Spain, from November 8 to 13, 2024. This pivotal event offers 156 golfers the opportunity to secure playing privileges on the DP World Tour for the 2025 season.

Journey to the Final Stage
The Qualifying School began in late August with nine First Stage events across seven countries. Victories by players such as Luca Cianchetti, Callum Farr, Matthew Cheung, Ben Jones, Dan Erickson, amateur Pablo Alperi López, Calum Fyfe, Jiří Zuska, and Matt Sharpstene highlighted this phase. Subsequently, four Spanish courses hosted the Second Stage, where Zuska secured another win alongside David Boriboonsub, Clément Sordet, and Haydn Barron. These qualifiers now join 62 exempt players from the DP World and European Challenge Tours at the Final Stage.

Competition Format
The Final Stage comprises six rounds played over Infinitum's Lakes and Hills courses. Each golfer will play two rounds on each course before a 72-hole cut determines the top 65 and ties. The final two rounds will be contested on the Lakes course, with the top 20 finishers and ties earning DP World Tour cards for the 2025 season.

Notable Participants
The field features a blend of seasoned professionals and emerging talents. Defending champion Freddy Schott returns, joined by four-time DP World Tour winner Wu Ashun. Ryder Cup veterans Stephen Gallacher, Oliver Wilson, Chris Wood, and Edoardo Molinari are also competing. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Kennedy has been a prominent figure in amateur golf, playing for the University of Louisville and representing his country in various international competitions like the British Amateur. He accumulated 12 top-10 finishes in his collegiate career, and won the 2024 General Hackler Championship by shooting an 8-under-par total in the 54-hole event.

Recent-turned Professionals
Luis Masaveu and Bastien Amat, both formerly top amateurs, have recently turned professional and are set to compete in the Final Stage, aiming to secure their places on the DP World Tour. Masaveu lost in the semi-finals of the U.S. Amateur to eventual champion and fellow Spaniard Jose Luis Ballester. Amat, from France, played for the University of New Mexico, where he won several individual titles, including the 2024 John Burns Collegiate in Hawaii.
