Jordan Rothman, a junior student at the University of Kansas, shot 69-70-66 to win the Ron Moore Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch, Colo.
Rothman, who began her tournament with impressive rounds of 69-70, posted a career-best score of 6-under 66 on her path to securing her inaugural collegiate victory at 11-under 205. This marks the first individual win for a Kansas golfer in three years, with the previous victory by Sera Tadokoro at the Louisville Cardinal Cup in 2020.
Rothman’s win also set a new 54-hole program individual record with an 11-under 205. Kansas finished fourth as a team and set a 54-hole team record with a 14-under 850.
On the 53rd hole, Rothman found herself in a tie for the lead alongside Denver's Anna Zanusso and Colorado's Morgan Miller, all at an impressive 10-under.
However, Rothman seized the moment with a birdie on the challenging 486-yard par 5, No. 18, ultimately securing the medalist honors at 11-under. Zanusso, who concluded with a par on No. 18, finished in solo second place at 10-under.
Meanwhile, Miller wrapped up her performance with a 1-under 71, landing her in third place individually in the tournament.
In the team competition, California staged a remarkable comeback, erasing a 13-stroke deficit in the final round to edge out host Denver by a single stroke.
The Golden Bears delivered an outstanding performance by shooting 8-under in the final round, concluding the tournament at 21-under, totaling 843 strokes.
On the other hand, the Denver Pioneers played their home course at 6-over on Sunday, finishing as runners-up with a total score of 20-under, just one stroke behind at 844.
