Windy City Collegiate: UCLA powers past the field to win the title

UCLA tied a program record and won the Windy City Collegiate Invitational at Glen View Club in Golf, Ill.
The Bruins shot 32-under and won by nine shots over Northwestern, who finished at 23-under. Oregon finished in solo third place at 22-under.
Texas, Wake Forest, and Duke all finished T4 at 21-under.
UCLA's team score tied the mark it set at the 2018 Golfweek Conference Challenge, which featured current LPGA Tour stars Lilia Vu and Patty Tavatanakit.
UCLA recorded rounds of 272-280-280. The Bruins 16-under 272 in round one was the fourth-lowest 18-hole score in program history.
All five Bruins shot under par in round one. In total, UCLA's rotation went 12-for-15 on under-par rounds for the tournament.
In the individual competition, Lauryn Nguyen of Northwestern shot 11-under to win by two shots over Meghan Royal of UCLA and Farah O'Keefe of Texas, who finished T2 at 9-under.
Nguyen shot a first-round 6-under 66 to pace the tournament and followed that up with a 2-under 70 in the second round and a 3-under 69 in the final round.
Four golfers tied for fourth place at 8-under, and three golfers tied for eighth place at 7-under to show how close the top of the leaderboard was.
