Golfweek's final Haskins Award watch list released
As the fall college golf season has come to a close, Golfweek has released its final fall Haskins Award watch list.
The Haskins Award honors the player of the year in college men’s golf, as selected by college golfers, coaches and members of the college golf media.
Here are the players on the final fall Haskins Award watch list, in alphabetical order:
John Augenstein, Vanderbilt: Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking: 22; Golfstat Ranking: 2. Two top-five finishesat the Nike Golf Collegiate and Crooked Stick Invitational, T-5 in the nation in par 4 scoring at 3.89.
Ryan Burnett, North Carolina: Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking: 2; Golfstat Ranking: 33. One win and two more top fives thanks to 64 birdies (top 20 in nation).
Alex del Rey, Arizona State: Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking: 73; Golfstat Ranking: 201. Won the Mea Lanakila Individual and Trinity Forest Invitational.
Cooper Dossey, Baylor: Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking: 16; Golfstat Ranking: 15. A consistent fall features a win at the Fighting Illini Invitational, a top 10 and a top five.
Noah Goodwin, SMU: Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking: 7; Golfstat Ranking: 4. T-7 at Trinity Forest, win at Maridoe Intercollegiate and T-5 at Royal Oaks. Fifth in par 5 scoring (4.40).
Peter Kuest, BYU: Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking: 2; Golfstat Ranking: 1. Wins at the William Tucker Intercollegiate and Nick Watney Invitational in addition to a top five and top ten. First in the nation in scoring (67.93), eagles (nine) and par 5 scoring (4.33).
Adrien Pendaries, Duke: Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking: 1; Golfstat Ranking: 2. Three top 10s and leads the country in par 4 scoring (3.84).
Luke Schniederjans, Georgia Tech: Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking: 5; Golfstat Ranking: 26. Won first event of the year at the Carpet Capital Collegiate.
Sandy Scott, Texas Tech: Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking: 4; Golfstat Ranking: 6. Had a big win at the Carmel Cup along with a T-5 at the Tavistock.
Sahith Theegala, Pepperdine: Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking: 14; Golfstat Ranking: 23. Two top fives including a win at the Alister MacKenzie; sixth in the nation in scoring at 69.08.

Haskins Award
Since 1971, the Haskins Award honors the most
outstanding male college golfer each year. It is named
in memory of Fred Haskins, former golf teaching
professional at the Country Club of Columbus (Georgia)
who devoted his life to nurturing and mentoring
amateur players.
