Cersosimo captures Austin City title in a playoff
Morris Williams Golf Course
Roughly a month removed from his Firecracker Open title, Jack Cersosimo has claimed another victory in Austin. The former Concordia-Texas player was crowned the Austin City champion on Sunday after prevailing in a playoff with Adam Wennerstrom.
Cersosimo and Wennerstrom both finished 72 holes at Morris Williams Golf Course at 14 under. For his part, Cersosimo opening with 64 and closed with 63. It was some bookend.
Scores were low across the board. Behind the two men who went into the playoff, Austin-based mid-amateur Brian Noonan finished at 13 under. His first three rounds were under 70.
Tyler Ware was solo fourth at 12 under followed by Rishi Kejriwal in solo fifth at 11 under.
