Palanyandi teams with Dillas for Bermuda Four-Ball win
Damian Palanyandi won a second consecutive Bermuda Four-Ball title on Sunday, only this time he did it with a different partner. Palanyandi paired with Jarryd Dillas at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda to blow away the field. At 8 under for 36 holes, the two won the title by seven shots.
A year ago, Palanyandi teamed up with Fraser Hunt for the win. Dillas, however, proved to be a handy partner, adding crucial birdies in both an opening 65 and a second-round 69.
The opening round is what allowed the duo to pull so far ahead of the field. They were four shots ahead of the field by the time Day 2 began and pulled away further from there.
Eric West and Spencer Wideman charged with a second-round 69, but still finished at 1 under and tied for second. Chris Brough and Dan Skoczylas were also on that number after rounds of 71-70.
In the women’s division, Linda Down and Katrin Burnie won the title with rounds of 75-80 to finish at 13 over. It was the best team score by four shots.
Gregory Smith and Steven Lambert won the senior division by eight shots. The two went 2 under in their first three holes and never looked back on their way to the win at 1 over.
