Charlie Flynn rallies to win Southern Junior

CHOUDRANT, LA (June 15, 2018) - Charlie Flynn of Shreveport, La. fired a final round 68 to win the 46th Southern Junior Championship. His 209 (-7) total provided a two shot victory over Cole Sherwood of Austin, Texas and Gavin Noble of Ringgold, Ga.
Flynn, a Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns commit, carded five birdies versus one bogey in his round. A back nine four-under 32 propelled him to the title.
36-hole leader Jack Gnam of Ridgeland, Miss. posted a two-over 74 to finish in a tie for fourth place at 212 (-4).
Defending champion Ethan Hagood of Birmingham, Ala. tallied a final round score of 73 to finish in a tie for 42nd at 225 (+9).
