Again Doug Williams wins Hong Kong Seniors Open Amateur

HONG KONG, China (November 10, 2017) - Once again American born Doug Williams has won the Hong Kong Seniors Open Amateur hosted by Hong Kong Golf Club. Last year Williams trailed after the first round before holding on to to win by a stroke but this time around it was a dominant performance from start to finish.
Williams opened with a stellar 65 which he followed up with consecutive 68's to post a 54-hole tally of 201 and an 18-stroke victory.
Chin Tong Calvin Wong (73-77-69--219) was second, Ian Clarke (73-76-79--228) took third, in fourth came Joseph Pethes (80-76-73--229) while Robert M K Choy (79-74-77--230) was fifth.

Hong Kong Seniors Open Amateur
1) The Hong Kong Seniors Open Amateur
Championship will be decided by stroke
play over three rounds, which will be played in
accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved
by the Royal & Ancient Rules Limited and with
the Local Rules approved by the Tournament
Committee.
2) Entries will be accepted from male amateur
players who have reached the age of 55. The
handicap limit for those aged 55-64 is 12 (or
USGA index of 12.3). The handicap limit for
players of 65 or over is 15 (USGA index of
15.3).
3) The 50 lowest scores over 36 holes and
any tying for the 50th place will qualify for the
final 18 holes.
