Bryce Molder and Jim Strickland win Straight Down Fall Classic

SAN LUIS OBISOPO, CA (December 4, 2016) -- It was tight throughout but PGA Tour winner Bryce Molder and amateur Jim Stickland closed with a 7-under 64 to post a 14-under-par 36-hole winning tally at the 20th Straight Down Fall Classic at San Luis Obispo Country Club.
In second place at 13-under it was five-time PGA Tour winner Nick Watney and Jordan Scott. PGA Tour winner and Golf Channel personality Arron Oberholser and 2012 NCGA Public Links champion Trent Tessler finished 11-under in third.
The format of the Straight Down Fall Classic is one pro, paired with one amateur -- pros are PGA Club pros and members of various professional tours.
ROUND ONE RECAP
Bryce Molder and Jim Stickland combined to shoot a first round 8-under 63 and take the lead at the Straight Down Fall Classic hosted by San Luis Obispo Golf and Country Club. The duo carry a one-stroke lead into the final round over Arron Oberholser and Trent Tessler who shot a 7-under 64.
Jason Ballard and Mike Rowley posted a 6-under 65 and sit in third place, Nick Watney and Jordan Scott are slotted in fourth after a 5-under 66 while five other teams are in a tie of fifth at 4-under.
