KENILWORTH, NJ (July 13, 2016) -- After being near the top of the leaderboard all week long amateur Jeremy Nevius struggled during the final round of the New Jersey Open. Nevius began the last day, 9-under and tied for the lead at Galloping Hill Golf Club, only to shoot a disappointing 3-over 74.
The Campbell University senior ended up finishing the 54-hole event 6-under and tied for fourth after rounds of 65-68-74. On the final day Nevius just couldn't get things going as he carded only one birdie, a bogey and a double-bogey.
Tyler Hall ran away with things on Wednesday and finished 15-under, seven shots clear of second place.
The only other amateurs to finish inside the top-10 were Luke Graboyes (T8) and Michael Brown (T10).
