Claremont-Mudd-Scripps' Kethan Reddy leads medalist race

PENFIELD, NY (May 12, 2016) - Claremont-Mudd-Scripps has led following each of the first three rounds and tomorrow they will look to close out the NCAA Division III Championship. After three days of play Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CA) is 28-over and ahead by seven-strokes at Midvale Country Club.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps continues to be led by senior Kethan Reddy who sits in third place. Reddy began the day leading the field but dropped to 5-over for the tournament following a round of 5-over 77. He will begin tomorrow one-stroke behind the leaders.
Right behind Reddy is freshman teammate Alex Wrenn at 6-over and tied for fourth. Sophomore Jonathan Shaw is also playing well for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps currently tied for 19th at 9-over.
The 54-hole individual lead is being shared by junior Stephen Colodny of Franklin & Marshall (PA) and sophomore Evan Cox of Virginia Wesleyan. Both players are 4-over heading into tomorrow's final round.
Rounding out the team top-five of the team standings are Otterbein University (OH) in second place at 35-over, Methodist University (NC) is 36-over in third while Huntingdon College (AL) and Wittenberg University (OH) share fourth at 37-over.

We are halfway home at the NCAA Division III Championship and it is Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at 13-over leading the way. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, the 2016 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champions, have led at the end of each of the first two rounds and will carry a nine-stroke lead into the third round.
This years Division III Championship is being played on two different courses with some of the field playing on the Midvale course while the rest plays the Mendon course.
On day two Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CA), the No. 3 team in the nation, played the Midvale course and they were led by 36-hole medalist pace setter, senior Kethan Reddy. So far Reddy has put together rounds of 68-75 to lead at even-par. He will carry a one-stoke lead into the third round over three golfers currently tied for second with a 1-over tally.
Two other Claremont-Mudd-Scripps players reside inside the top-10 of the individual standings. Both freshman Alex Wrenn and sophomore Jonathan Shaw are 3-over and tied for ninth.
Behind Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the team standings are Washington & Lee (VA) at 22-over in second place, St. Thomas (MN) and Methodist University (NC) at 25-over tied for third while Huntingdon College (AL) is fifth sitting 28-over.
