AJ McInerney captures Las Vegas City Amateur title

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — UNLV senior AJ McInerney, who is the reigning Nevada State Match Play champion, won the Las Vegas Amateur Championship on Sunday with a final-round 67 to post a 36-hole total of 8-under par 132. He opened the tournament 65 to lead by two shots over Darren Michels II.
Sam Dickey carded 64 in the final round to post the lowest score of the tournament, and grab a share of second place with 2014 Nevada Mid-Amateur champion Kenny Ebalo.
Brady Exber, who recently captured his second straight Stocker Cup title, and Justin Kim tied for fourth place at 4-under par 136.
