Keith Unikel wins Middle Atlantic Amateur

ROCKVILLE, Md. (Oct. 5, 2014) — Keith Unikel took a three-shot lead into Sunday's final round at the Middle Atlantic Amateur. All he needed to claim the title was a two-over par 72 to extend his eventual lead to four.
His four-round total of 279 beat second place finisher Michael McGowan, who was tied for second with Unikel after the end of Friday's round.
Second-round leader Alex Hoffman shot 76-74 on the weekend and finished in a tie for sixth.
Unikel, who used to be a professional golfer, played the 6,700-yard Manor Country Club at one-under over the course of the 72-hole tournament, which his lowest round coming on Saturday when he shot 68.
