KC Prairie Invitational: Dolan tops Misenhelter

LENEXA, Kan. (June 23, 2014) -- Catherine Dolan narrowly slipped by Gianna Misenhelter Sunday to clinch her Prairie Invitational title.
Dolan, an alum of Missouri State University, entered Sunday one stroke behind Misenhelter. However, Dolan paired two birides on holes No. 6 and 17, with her one-over, 73 shot effort to claim her Open champion’s glass chalice.

Misenhelter, a former Kansas State golfer, easily clinched a runner-up finish with her one-under, 143 two-day total.
Baile Winslow, a sophomore at Northern Colorado, rounded out the top-three with her total score of 150.
The Player’s gross score division again was a tight race as Barbara Cusik held off Alane Studley on day two. Cusik shot a 165, defeating Studley by two strokes.
Teresa Gumm followed the pair with her 169 total.
Finally, Madison Hoy defeated gross score champ Cusik in the Player’s net division with her four-under, 140. Cusik finished with a net of 143, while Studley ended the weekend with a 145 net total and a third-place finish.
