Mass. Sr. Four-Ball: Smith, Turgeon win playoff
SOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass. (May 22, 2014) -- Kevin Smith and Dave Turgeon won in extra holes to claim the 2014 Massachusetts Senior Four-Ball at Bass River Club.
For Smith, it was his second straight MGA event won in a playoff.
The duo claimed victory on the fifth playoff hole after Smith drained a 15 foot, downhill birdie putt to defeat the team of Jim Hosey (The Orchards GC) and Bob Linn (Franconia GC).
"As long as they come out this way I will play as long as they want," said Smith with a laugh.
Patrick Kline and Bill Heffeman tied alongside Paul Quigley and Richard McCarthy for third place.
