Calif. State Fair: Cody Paladino wins

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 2, 2013) -- Cody Paladino bested a duo of Cal Bears to take the 2013 California State Fair title at Haggin Oaks.
Played at the Oaks' Mackenzie Course, the 83rd annual State Fair ended with Paladino beating Cal's Joel Stalter and Brandon Hagy in a playoff.
All three players finished the three-day event at 14-under, 202. Paladino and Stalter clsoed with 66 while Hagy shot 67.
Paladino opened play Friday with a 66 and remained despite a terrific field at Haggin Oaks.
Other notable finishes included: AGC 2012 Player of the Year Alex Franklin (T4), Cody Blick (T7), highly-ranked junior Cameron Champ (12).

The State Fair Men's Amateur Championship is one of
the oldest and most prestigious Amateur
Championships in the West. The Championship is
limited to 108 players. Competition commences over a
54-hole stroke play format with 18 holes played each
day. The field is cut after 36 holes to the low 36
players & ties.
