Maryland Mid-Am: Castle takes title
BALTIMORE, Md. (Aug. 13, 2013) -- Jeff Castle shot rounds of 66-70--136 to win by four shots at the 27th Maryland Mid-Amateur at Baltimore Country Club.

Castle held on to top Brandon Cigna and Brett Williams by four shots on the strength of his first-round 5-under 66.

Steven Delmar, Jr. was fourth, finishing one shot ahead of Ray Sheedy, who took fifth.

ABOUT THE Maryland Mid-Amateur

This tournament is open to male amateurs who have reached their 30th birthday and are residents of Maryland or are members of member clubs of the Maryland State Golf Association with an up-to-date USGA Index of 5.4 or less. The tournament will be conducted at 36 holes stroke play, with the field being reduced to the low 60 scores and ties after the first round.
