Game Golf signs 2014 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, Chesson Hadley
Game Golf, a market-leader in wearable
technology, is calling out all golfers currently
tracking their golf rounds on their platform to
test their game against the pros.
Joining their staff of brand ambassadors that
already includes Graeme McDowell, Jim Furyk
and Lee Westwood is newcomer Chesson
Hadley, the PGA Tour’s 2014 Rookie of the
Year. In recognition of this important addition
to the team, Game Golf will issue it’s first-
ever Pro-Am Par Challenge.
Using the Game Golf online platform, amateur
golfers can see how their games measure up
against some of the best golfers in the world
by joining the Pro Am Par Challenge and
posting a round between Wednedsay, March 4,
and Monday, April 6. They will compete
against Hadley, who will be at the Puerto Rico
Open defending his title. Hadley will be using
the device to record his final practice round at
the
event.
Hadley, along with the rest of the Game Golf
community participating in the challenge, will
have plenty of competition from the likes of
McDowell, Furyk and Westwood who will all
post their practice rounds on the same day at
the WGC Cadillac Championship in Doral. At
the end of the competition, the winner will be
determined based on the total number of pars
scored during their posted round. A bit of
advice - go low!
“We are excited to welcome Chesson into the
GAME GOLF family and, in honor of that,
created the GAME GOLF Par Challenge which
allows our platform users to compete with
Chesson and our other professional tour
players,” said John McGuire, CEO of GAME
GOLF. “Only through GAME GOLF’s community
and the social aspect of the platform can
amateurs compete virtually with the game’s
best no matter where they are. The GAME
GOLF Par Challenge embodies the future of the
game and how fellow golfers and even
professionals will interact and compete
globally.”
Game Golf first hit the market in 2014 with
their innovative product that allows golfers of
all skill levels to tag their golf shots during an
individual round and post their statistics to the
company’s online platform. While other pre-
existing technology apps only allowed you to
capture your score along with some other
basic metrics such as fairways hit, greens in
regulation and total putts, Game Golf went
much further with advanced analytics that revealed
your distances and shot dispersions for every
club in your bag.
Game Golf, available for both Android and iOS
mobile devices, is dedicated to changing how
golfers to connect to their game, PGA
Professionals and their friends through
wearable technology. The small, lightweight
device is worn on the player’s waist and
individual, feather-light sensor tags attach to
the top of the grip on each club. Game Golf
automatically records the course, location on
the hole, club used, club distance, and
accuracy as the golfer plays. Golfers can then
see their game and club performance to help
them improve online at GameGolf.com.
