Tournament Overview
The 90th annual Sacramento City Women's Golf Championship will be contested at Bing Maloney Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday, June 21-22, 2025.
The tournament is open to all women amateur golfers with an established handicap index of 34.3 of less. Higher indexes are eligible but will be adjusted to 34.3. The June 15, 2025, GHIN will used to determine eligibility and handicap.
The Championship flight will play at scratch and must have an index of 6.6 or less. They will play from the Gold Tees at about 5,900 yards. Confirmation of equivalent ability may be submitted in lieu of a GHIN to establish eligibility for the Championship Flight only. The Handicap Division will award both Net and Gross prizes. The Handicap Division will also have a separate Senior Flight. The Senior Flight will consist of all those participants that are age 50 and up with a handicap index of 18.4 or less. Seniors with a handicap index above 18.4 will be placed in another handicap flight.
The Handicap Division will play from the Red Tees at about 5200 yards. The Gross Winner of the Senior Flight will be named the 2025 Sacramento City Women's Senior Champion, and her name will be inscribed on the new perpetual trophy. The amount and number of awards in each Flight will be based on the handicap indexes and the number of participants.
NCGA points will be awarded to the both the Championship Flight and the Senior Flight depending on your eligibility.
The entry fee is $149 per player (all past champions pay only $90) and includes green fees and range balls for both days and all awards
(power cart and range balls are not included). If you are a past champion, choose the $90 entry fee option for past champions when you register online.
The tournament format will be stroke play over 36 holes - 18 on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. The Championship Flight will play after the Handicap flights each day. Handicap flights will be determined according to the entries received. Sunday’s pairings will be determined by scores within the respective flights with the Championship Flight teeing off in score order. Ties for the Championship flight and Senior Low Gross will be decided by a sudden death playoff starting on Hole #17. All other ties will be broken by the recommended USGA method of matching scorecards.
