Atlanta Open: Cory Griffin leads strong amateurs

ROSWELL, Ga. (June 11, 2013) -- Cory Griffin leads a competitive group of amateurs and sits atop the leaderboard after the first round of play at the 2013 Atlanta Open Championship at Polo Golf & Country Club.
Griffin, a freshman at Armstrong who plays out of Canongate at GA National, shot a 4-under 68 and is tied with Stephen Keppler for first place.
Amateurs and Georgia State teammates Damon Stephenson and Nathan Mallonee are one shot back after 3-under 69s.
In a tie for sixth place are Jack Walsh and Will McFarlin, who shout 2-under.
Tripp H'Doubler shot a 1-under 71 and is in a tie for 10th place.
