Cascades Inv.: Fisher/Wirt, Payne/Fox win titles
HOT SPRINGS, Virg. (May 27, 2013) -- Barry Wirt and Lee Fisher shot a final-round 65 and kept their distance after taking a second-round lead to win the 2013 Cascades Invitational at The Homestead Resort.
Playing on the Cascades Course, Wirt and Fisher posted the final-round's lowest card, which helped against a surge from runners-up Pat Carter and Jim Grimmett.
Darrell Craft and Mark Funderburke were third.
In the Senior Division, first-round leaders Steve Fox and Harold Payne came from behind with a red-hot 62 to stun overnight leaders Bobby Morris and Marty West.
Morris, co-founder and vice chairman of Billy Casper Golf, and partner Marty West shot a 64 on Sunday and led by three shots over Fox and Payne. Desite a solid final-round 67, the runners-up were leaped by the event's low round from Fox and Payne.
Michael Occi and Ben Clements were third, sitting nine shots behind Fox and Payne.
