Moore leads AGC California Medal Play
STEVINSON, Calif. (April 6, 2013) -- On a blustery Central California day, scores got increasingly higher as the day went on. An even par 72 by Nick Moore leads the overall championship. The 30-year-old caddie at Cypress Point had one birdie and one eagle (No. 6, knocking a 6 iron to 15 feet) to off-set 1 bogey and a double bogey (the treacherous par-3 16th that kicks off "The Gauntlet"). The net flight is led by a career low round of a gross 76/net 60 by amateurgolf.com standout Chris Ladd.
"It was a magical round, said Ladd, who will be traveling to Bandon Dunes with amateurgolf.com in early May.
"I've played thousands of rounds of golf in my life and never had one like this." The right handed golfer with a highly regarded slice also said, "I love Stevinson Ranch because there are no trees on the left side of the golf course!!" He made three natural birdies including two on par 3s. The senior flight is led by Doug Johnson of Fresno. He has a one shot lead over Ben Whipple of El Dorado Hills. The final round will be played on Sunday.
