Chechessee Creek Sr.: Bodney, Marsh win titles
OKATIE, S.C. (Nov. 7, 2012) -- Mike Bodney fired a sizzling final-round 71 to finish one shot ahead of Pete Allen and take the top spot at the 2012 Chechessee Creek Club Senior Invitational.
Bodney was in the mix after a first-round 73 but struggled in Round 2 with a 77. His final-round effort, which marked the second lowest score of the day, was enough to propel him ahead of the field.
Allen (74-72-76--222) was a shot in front of Randy Yoder (71-83-70--223), who was alone in third place.
Don Marsh (70-73-71--214) was a three-shot winner in the Super Seniors Division. Marsh bested a low-scoring field and runner-up Jim Kamis by three shots. Bob Currey, Bob Kulp and Al Thiess were tied for third place.
