Palo Alto City: Johnson tops Kilpatrick in playoff

PALO ALTO, Calif. (Oct. 28, 2012) -- Pace Johnson recorded an eagle on the first sudden-death playoff hole to win the 2012 Palo Alto City Golf Championship at Palo Alto Golf Course.
Johnson finished the event's two rounds of regulation play at 68-70--138 alongside runner-up Keelan Kilpatrick.
Jake Bieber, who led after Round 1 fell to a third-place finish after a final-round 73. He was two shots back of the leaders.
Patrick Grimes (72-69--141) was fourth while Mark Wyllie (70-72--142), Matt Cohn (72-70--142) and Nick Thomas (71-71-142) all tied for fifth place.
The Palo Alto City Championship is a traditional Fall event on the NCGA Points calendar that draws an excellent field.
