Samerjan, Avers take New Jersey Sr. Four-Ball
WASHINGTON, NEW JERSEY – The Neshanic Valley team of John Samerjan and Thomas Avers combined to fire a seven-under par 65 (33-32) to win the 17th New Jersey State Golf Association Senior Four-Ball Championship at the par 72, 6265 yard Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington.
Samerjan and Avers bested three teams who tied at four-under par 68; Neal Schuman and Jay Green of Alpine, Steve Mauer and Ron Vannelli of Metuchen, and Frank Law and Mark Boyce of Hawk Pointe. The Law/Boyce tandem were Net Champions with a nineunder par effort of 63.
