ROCKY FACE, Ga. (Sept. 9, 2012) -- Texas, which shot a 22-under-par 266 in Saturday's second round, posted a 4-over-292 Sunday in clear, but breezy conditions on the 7,012-yard, par 72 layout, and was good enough to hold off Georgia for a 5-stroke win. The No. 2-ranked Longhorns finished the tournament at 13-under-par 851, while the 17th-ranked Bulldogs (294 Sunday) completed 54 holes at 8-under 856.
Top-ranked Alabama (292 Sunday) was a distant third at 1-over 865, followed by LSU and Clemson (tied at +7). Wake Forest (+8) was sixth, Chattanooga (+11) was seventh, and Tennessee (+12), the only team to break par Sunday, was eighth. Seven teams in the 15-team field were ranked in Golfweek's pre-season top 25.
