Mexican Amateur: Vázquez (67) takes early lead
GUADALAJARA, México (June 7, 2012) -- The defending champion of the Mexican National Amateur Banorte, Sebastián Vázquez (México City) made the best start possible at the Guadalajara Country Club with a round of 67.

Vázquez is also representing México in the concurrent team competition and his stellar play along with the 1-under-par 70 from his partner Carlos Ortiz has the home team up by 9 strokes over Juan Diego Placencia and Eduardo Castiello (72-74--146) representing the special team from Guadalajara Country Club.
Adam Svensson and Riley Fleming, representing Canada are in third place with rounds of 73-74--147.
