Smith, Crockett take Anderson Four Ball
MAMARONECK, N.Y. (June 3, 2012) -- Partners Parker Smith and Dan Crocket from the Country Club, Morristown, TN, defeated John Kemp and Mark Wharton in 19 holes to successfully defend the John G. Anderson Memorial Invitational at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y. This third Anderson in a row for Smith who won in 2010 with partner Phillip Breeding.

In the Senior Division, former Walker Cup captain, Jim Holtgrieve and partner Tom Case, Pine Valley Golf Club defeated Tom Yellin and Jack Kiernan, 1- up.

ABOUT THE Anderson Memorial

Perhaps the most coveted best-ball invitation in all of amateur golf. Created in 1933 to honor Winged Foot founding member and two time U.S. Amateur runner-up John G. Anderson, the event consists of a 36 hole qualifier followed by two days of match play competition in both Championship and Senior divisions.
