Levitt goes low to win Burbank City Championship running away
BURBANK, CALIF. (Oct. 24, 2011) -- Jon Levitt lead the Burbank City Championship, held at the DeBell Golf Course, by two strokes after the first round with a score of 68. On day two he followed that up with a 67, which put him in front by six shots. For the third round he must have figured no let up was needed as he carded a 64 to finish the event at (-14) 68-67-64--199, and 10 stroke victory. According to Scott Scozzola, Director of Golf Operations at DeBell Golf Course, Levitt's performance shattered the tournament record by a whopping 14 strokes.
Tim Hogarth, the seasoned amateur veteran and favorite to win this week finished in second place with rounds of 71-70-68--209.
Don Baker was third with scores of 70-73-68--211.
