Women's Southern Senior Am: Hardin leads after day 2
AIKEN, S.C. (Sept. 28, 2011) -- The century old Women's Golf Association brought its prestigious Senior Championship to the doorsteps of the Palmetto Golf Club as part of its Centennial Celebration. After two days of analytical and physical attacks by the best Senior Amateur golfers in the fifteen Southern States and the District of Columbia, the Palmetto Golf Club course design with its strategic bunkering and elevated undulating greens has stood the test. It has not allowed anything less than par.
It was defending champion Mina Hardin's turn to grab par in the second round. After finishing the front nine three over she answered with three birdies on the back. First round leader Patty Moore, from Charlotte, shot a 7 over 79 to fall to six shots back of the leader. Two time champion Anna Schultz is third at 154 with Lin McMillan and Pat Brogden tied for fourth. Claudeen Lindberg currently leads the Super Senior division.
