Mauer and Ron Vannelli win NJSGA Four-Ball
ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NEW JERSEY (Sept. 20,, 2011) – The Metuchen team of Steve Mauer and Ron Vannelli shot a two‐under par 69 (36‐33) to win the 16th New Jersey State Golf Association Senior Four‐Ball Championship at the par 71, 6001 yard Beacon Hill Country Club in Atlantic Highlands. Mauer and Vannelli won on a match of cards over the Ash Brook team of Charles Potter and John Lay, Jr. (35‐34‐69) and the Plainfield West team of John Hendricks and Denis Johnson (35‐34‐69).
The net championship was claimed by Michael Sands and Mel Feder of Westlake who finished at nine‐under par 62.
