Titleist the exclusive brand in U.S. Amateur final
FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (Aug. 29, 2011) -- In the championship match of the 2011 U.S. Amateur at Erin Hills, the two finalists relied on only one equipment brand for each and every shot: Titleist.
Both the winner and runner-up, competing for the season's most prominent individual amateur title, trusted Pro V1x golf balls, Titleist 910 drivers and fairways metals, Titleist irons, Titleist Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges and Scotty Cameron putters to make their way through the match-play bracket.By advancing to the U.S. Amateur final, each player received invitations to play in the 2012 Masters, as well as exemptions into the 2012 U.S. Open. The champion also received an exemption into the 2012 Open Championship.

A total of 252 players in the 315-player starting field teed up Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls at Erin Hills, more than 10 times the nearest competitor with 24 and four times all competitors combined.
Titleist was also No. 1 across every major golf club category, including: drivers (135); fairway metals (145); hybrids (100); iron sets (128); wedges (409); and putters (135).
So far in 2011, eight of the nine USGA championships played have been won by Titleist golf ball players.
