GCGA Met Mid-Amateur: Gerwin takes title
Cincinnati, OH (Aug. 16, 2011) -- First round co-leader Robert Gerwin (70-64--134) got out of the gate hot and stayed that way to capture the 2011 Metropolitan Mid-Amateur Championship by an impressive 7 shots.
Gerwin started the day with an eagle three on the par-5 first hole and then reeled off three consecutive birdies on hole No's three, four and five for a five-under front nine score of 30.
Bill Williamson was second with scores of 72-69--141 while TJ Wilson was third with rounds of 76-68--144.
