European Amateur: Brown maintains lead
Tylösand, Sweden (August 4, 2011) -- The wind of 6-9 meter/second made the course much harder and the scores higher the second round. The best score was 67 (with one bogey and one double bogey) by Daan Huizing from the Netherlands. He ended up at a total of -6 and a sixth place.
The leader of the first day, Steven Brown from England, keeps on playing well. He made 71 shots in the second round and is still in the lead by one stroke (total of -8). Four players ties the second place, Julien Brun and Gary Stal from France, George Thacker, England and Manuel Trappel from Austria.
The defending Champion, Lukas Bjerregard from Denmark, had an injury before he started the first round. He was trying to play, but after the second round he had to withdraw.
The cut will be made after the third round. It is 60 players and ties who will be playing the final round on Saturday.
