European Amateur: Brown fires course-record
-- Sweden Golf
Tylösand, Sweden (August 3, 2011) -- The best score of the first day, and also a new course record, was 65 shots. It was the English player Steven Brown, who had a very good day with straight drives and good putting. He made one birdie on the front nine and six!! birdies on the back nine and ended up at a total of -7.
The condition and set up of the course and the weather conditions was making the game quite easy on the first day, compared to what it could be. The forecast for the rest of the week is the normal conditions with the strong wind coming in from the ocean and maybe some light rain.
To add some tougher pin placements the following days, will probably make sure that 65 shots will be the best score of the week.
