Mississippi Greenville Invitational : Brozovich comes from behind to win

GREENVILLE, MS. (June 26, 2011) -- Billy Brozovich erased a 5 shot deficit to tie for the lead in the Greenville Invitational with a 5-under-par 67. Laurel’s Nic Ishee fired a 3-under-par 69 to tie Brozovich at 6-under-par 138. Brozovich and Ishee went into a sudden death playoff where Brozovich defeated Ishee on the second playoff hole.
Finishing in the top 3 for the third straight year was Greenwood’s Alan Elis who came in with a 4-under-par 68 to put him at 5-under-par for the tournament, just one shot behind Ishee and Brozovich.In the First Flight, Alex Rowland of Houston took the title with an even par 144 after a final round 3-under-par 69. In the Second Flight Senatobia’s T. Robert Oakley Finished first with a 3-over-par 147.
In the Third Flight Bob Rupnick of Brandon took the top spot with a 13-over-par 157. In the Fourth Flight Andrew Simmons of Cleveland took the title with a 14-over-par 158. In the Fifth Flight Dink Strain of Greenwood came in first with a 19-over-par 163. In the Sixth Flight Richard Tollison finished first with a 25-over-par 169.
In the Net Division, Greg Brooking of Natchez took the top spot with a net 5-under-par 139.

Greenville Invitational
The tournament is scheduled for 36-holes of stroke
play. There will be two divisions. The Regular
division
and a Super Senior division (age 60 and older). The
Super Senior Division will play from forward tees.
Each
division will be flighted after 18 holes of play. Open
to
all male amateur golfers.
