LAKEWOOD, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2010) -- After a 13 year hiatus, the L.A. County Amateur returned and was hosted at two of the premier Los Angeles County golf courses, Los Verdes and Lakewood. 160 entries were received with another 10 left on the waiting list. The format for the two day event was flighted in five flights with the low 32 handicaps playing "scratch" and the remaining four flights playing with their current handicap.
Two overall champions were crowned, one for Low Gross and one for Low Net over the entire field. Low Gross honors went to Kevin Bodlovich from San Pedro with a 70 - 70, 140 total and Low Net honors went to Mike Wolter from San Juan Capistrano with 65 - 71, 136 total. They both won $500 scrip from American Golf and nice crystal trophies.
