Adela Cernousek finishes T1 and leads all amateurs at LPGA Q-Series Qualifying

THIRD ROUND RECAP

UCLA standout Zoe Campos has taken a commanding lead LPGA Q-Series Qualifying Stage at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla., as she is 15-under through three rounds and is three shots clear of the field.

She has shot rounds of 68-67-66 to get to 15-under and has recorded 16 birdies, three bogeys and an eagle. She started her third round off with a bang, holing out for eagle on the par-4 hole No. 1. 

Campos is currently ranked No. 7 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.

According to Brentley Romine, Campos would likely turn pro and leave UCLA if she makes the final stage.

Campos is not the only amateur making waves, as Adela Cernousek is T2 at 12-under and also in great position to advance to the final stage.

SECOND ROUND RECAP

Zoe Campos and Ashley Menne continued their great play, finishing their second rounds at 9-under and tied for the lead with Roberta Liti halfway through the tournament in Florida.

Campos and Menne shot a first-round 4-under 68 and a second-round 5-under 67 to get to 9-under.

Other amateurs in the field include Adela Cernousek, who is T7 at 6-under, and Julia Lopez Ramirez, who is T13 at 5-under.

As the second round progresses of the LPGA Q-Series Qualifying Stage at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla., some of the top amateurs in the world are impressing.

Adela Cernousek shot a second-round 6-under 66 to propel into the top five, currently sitting T4 and one shot back. Julia Lopez Ramirez shot a second-round 5-under 67 to move into the top ten.  

Zoe Campos and Ashley Menne are T4 along with Cernousek and 6-under through 10 holes of the second round. 

Campos is a senior at UCLA and a recent participant on the United States Curtis Cup team, and Menne graduated from Arizona State last season.
